The Council of Ministers has approved a decree-law introducing urgent fiscal measures, extensions of regulatory terms and economic interventions.

Among these are provisions on tax credit for investments in the single SEZ - The text provides for the additional spending authorization of 1.6 billion euros, for the year 2024, to be added to the 1.8 billion euros already allocated, for the financing of the tax credit provided for in Article 16 of Decree-Law No. 124 of September 19, 2023, for companies and other economic operators that make investments in the single special economic zone (SEZ). In order to access the relief, economic operators who have already submitted the required documentation will have to send, from November 18 to December 2, 2024, a supplementary communication to the Internal Revenue Service certifying that the investments already indicated have been made by the deadline of November 15, 2024. The communication should also indicate the amount of tax credit accrued in relation to the investments actually made and the relevant electronic invoices.
