The Adoption Process

The development of the Strategic Plan for the Single Special Economic Zone (SEZ) started with the inaugural meeting of the SEZ Steering Committee on 20 February 2024.

The Steering Committee is chaired by the political authority delegated for SEZ matters and includes the Ministers listed in the organizational regulations, the Presidents of the eight regions that constitute the Single SEZ, the President of the Union of Italian Provinces (UPI), and the President of the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI).

To prepare the Strategic Plan, the SEZ dedicated unit started all necessary consultations at an early stage to ensure the widest participation of all stakeholders:
