Extension of the Single Special Economic Zone to the Marche and Umbria Regions: Publication of Law No. 171 of 18 November 2025

Law No. 171 of 18 November 2025, entitled “Provisions for the revitalisation of the economy in the territories of the Marche and Umbria regions”, has been published in the Official Gazette. The law extends the scope of the Single Special Economic Zone (ZES unica) to these regions.

Investment projects located in Umbria and Marche may, with immediate effect, benefit from administrative simplification through the single authorisation procedure, by accessing the SUD ZES Digital One‑Stop Shop.

Investments in capital goods carried out between 1 January and 15 November 2025, within the limits set out in Article 3 of Law No. 171 of 2025, may qualify for the tax credit.
